Q1 - When do I find out who my roommate is?
A1 - When you move in, you will find out who your roommate is and what room you will be staying in. If you have a specific roommate in mind, be sure to put their name on your application and as long as they do the same, we will match you with that specific person.

 
 

Q2 - Where is the closest grocery store?
A2 - The closest grocery store is the United Supermarket located 5 blocks north of University Plaza at 112 University.

 
 

Q3 - Where is the closest bank?
A3 - For your convenience we have an ATM right here in our building on the 1st floor by the reception area. There are also branches for Wells Fargo and Bank of America on University Avenue less than 5 blocks north or south of University Plaza.

 
 

Q4 - Where can I buy stamps and get change for the washing machines?
A4 - You can purchase stamps and make change at the front desk 24 hours a day.

 
 

Q5 - What do I furnish?
A5 - You will be responsible for furnishing your own light bulbs, toilet paper, linens, towels and other personal belongings. Toilet paper can be purchased at the front desk for .50 cents per roll and light bulbs are .75 per bulb.

 
 

Q6 - What do I need for my computer?
A6 - You may need a networking card and an Ethernet cord depending upon the model of your machine. You can find them at any computer store.

 
 

Q7 - Where can I put my bike?
A7 - We have a bike rack in the A/B Courtyard. Your bike must have a University Plaza bike tag. These can be obtained free at the front desk. A bike cannot be placed anywhere else in our building. It is recommended that you secure your bike with a lock chain.

 
 

Q8 - Do I have to move everything out during holiday breaks?
A8 - During the semester break between fall and spring or other holiday breaks you do not have to move your belongings. You can store your belongings here for the summer for a fee and only if you have signed a contract for the upcoming academic year.

 
 

Q9 - Can I live here during holiday breaks?
A9 - During the semester break and holiday breaks you can reside here if you have a current signed lease. If you are extending your stay past the contract day if there is availability you can reside here for a short period of time (to be designated by the Director) for $25 a night. No services will be provided. Meals are not provided during semester or holiday breaks.

 
 

Q10 - What are some suggested items that I may need to bring?
A10 - Additional storage may be needed, Bedspread, linens and towels, White shower curtains are provided, however you are free to bring one of your choice, Shelves, Ethernet Cord, TV, Stereo, VCR/DVD, Toiletry items, Pictures/Posters, Rug, Other Decorations, Furniture of your choice, Refrigerator, Microwave, George Foreman Grill, Snack Foods, School Supplies and Medical Supplies - prescription and over the counter

Q12 - How do I get a copy of my contract?
