Everyone at Cimarron Hills is at the top of their profession and has a knack for making community members feel right at home. If there's ever a question about the community, anyone can help.
Kris 'K.D.' Davis Golf Course Superintendent [email protected] KD came to Cimarron Hills with vast experience maintaining Nicklaus Signature golf courses. Over the past 10 years, KD has been at a few of the most exclusive, well maintained Nicklaus Designed courses in the market and has brought those experiences to Cimarron Hills.
KD grew up in rural Ohio and started working on courses at age 15. He received a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Turfgrass Management and minoring in Plant Pathology, from The Ohio State University.
Practical experience is what KD is the proudest. He spent a year at the Australian Golf Club in Sydney, a Nicklaus re-design. There he learned warm-season turf and the course hosted a PGA event, the Greg Norman Invitational. He also spent a season at the Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey, which is a former host of the Ryder Cup and Senior Open.
Muirfield Village Golf Club, home of the Memorial Tournament and venue to the 1998 Solheim Cup, still is fresh in his mind as he visits the course every year for the tournament to keep close ties with the Nicklaus maintenance philosophy.
Before Cimarron Hills, KD was most recently an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at the New Albany Country Club in Ohio. This 27 hole Nicklaus Signature course was the venue for the Wendy's LPGA Classic during his tenure.
