BUSHMILLS INN

| Description: |
Located in the village of Bushmills, home to the Bushmills Whiskey distillery, the Bushmills Inn advertises that it "is the kind of place where you hope it rains so you don't have to go outside." Although we do not expect our clients to miss their tee time at Portstewart because of a little rain, Bushmills is perhaps our favorite property for guests seeking a little authenticity in their foreign travels. The restaurant boasts an impressive wine cellar and the Gas Bar sets up any interested guest for "the craic." (You'll have to ask). |
| Golf Course Name: |
Royal County Down |
| Description: |
Royal County Down is considered by most to be the very best in Northern Ireland, and a rival to Ballybunion for top honors on the entire Emerald Isle. The 2000 Senior British Open was held here, providing a glimpse to the rest of the world of a course whose popularity among foreign guests has suffered due to Northern Ireland's political climate. A night spent at the Slieve Donard followed by a round at Royal County Down, however, and you will forever be a fan of this corner of the world. |

| Golf Course Name: |
Royal Portrush |
| Description: |
Royal Portrush holds the distinct honor of being the only course on the Emerald Isle to have hosted the British Open, which took place in 1951. Located on a stretch of coast known as the "Causeway Coast," the course sits atop the ruins of legendary Dunluce Castle. Although we often begin to sound like a broken record when heralding the links courses on the coast of Northern Ireland, Royal Portrush is another that offers scenery unlike any in the world. |
| Location: |
6 miles W of Bushmills |
| Golf Course Name: |
Portstewart |
| Description: |
Some have described Portstewart as the most picturesque course in all of Northern Ireland, which is a pretty strong comment in light of its proximity to so may other fantastic courses in Counties Derry and Antrim. Nevertheless, the back nine at Portstewart indeed provides dramatic views of the River Bann from nearly every hole and the adjacent village of Coleraine. Having said that, Portstewart is yet another classic links layout to take in when making the trek to Northern Ireland. |

SLIEVE DONARD HOTEL
| Description: |
Standing on six acres of private land adjacent to Royal County Down, the Slieve Donard is, in our opinion, the only place to stay when traveling to County Down. This beautiful property, which celebrated its centennial in 1997, is owned by the Hastings Hotel Group, known for such exclusive properties as Culloden House near Inverness, Scotland (not listed on our site, but please inquire if your group may be interested when traveling to the Inverness area). |
