
One of the outstanding third down backs in the league and one of the National Football League's most exciting players, Amp is a crafty route runner who knows how to get open. He is a sure-handed receiver with great run-after catch ability. He was signed by the St. Louis Rams on 8/4/97 as an unrestricted free agent. Amp Lee is a "quadruple threat" as rusher, receiver, kick returner and punt returner. He played with San Francisco 49ers (1992-93) and Minnesota Vikings (1994-96) He left Florida State after junior season, and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in second round (45th overall) of 1992 NFL Draft.
Born Anthonia Wayne Lee in Chipley, Florida, he earned USA Today's honorable mention All-America and Class 2A all-state honors during senior year at Chipley High. He rushed for more than 4,000 yards, scored 68 touchdowns and intercepted 25 passes in three seasons.
