The Prayer Ministry

The purpose of the Prayer Ministry is for our members to pray for our church, the staff, our ministries, and the needs of others. We know that burdens are lifted, hearts are comforted, and souls are saved when God's people pray. God is faithful and He answers prayer above all that we can ask or think.

For instructions on submitting a prayer request or for information on the Prayer Ministries at FBCgT, please select from the links at the bottom of this page.

If you have additional questions, please contact our Prayer Coordinator Gail Parks at 869-2953. To place a prayer request in our Prayer Ministry, you can send the request via e-mail to prayerchain@thegateway.net

In case of an emergency request, please call Gail at 869-2953. If she is unavailable, you may leave a message and she will return the call as soon as possible. You may also contact Marj Allen at 863-4577 or Sarah Warren at 864-0514. The church office (869-2586) will also forward prayer requests to Gail.

You may also place a written request in the collection plate on Sunday mornings or fill out a blue form in the foyer of the Worship Center, and place it into the designated wooden box. Please include your phone number on all of these requests so we can follow up appropriately.

If you are interested in joining any of our Prayer Ministries, call Gail Parks at 869-2953. The following information will help you decide which ministry or ministries you might like to be involved in:

1) The Prayer Chapel
The Prayer Chapel is located in the Prayer Tower outside and to the left of the triple glass doors entering the Worship Center. You are asked to commit to praying for one hour per week. You will be given an orientation session to direct you to the resources for which you will be praying.

2) The E-mail Prayer Chain
You will be receiving prayer requests at your home or business e-mail address (whichever you prefer) and will print them out to either put on a clipboard or in a 3-ring notebookd to have them before you during your prayer time. You will be given a sheet with instructions on it for this ministry.

3) The Telephone Prayer Chain
You will be assigned to a group of around 4 people. You will receive the requests by telephone and write them in a notebook to which you can refer immediately after you pass them on the next person on the chain. You will receive instructions as to how this is done when you join the chain.
