When are the Worship Services? What are they like?
FBCgT currently offers two worship experiences at 9:40am and 11:00am.
The 9:40am service is our Traditional Service and features hymns, special music, and a message from the Bible delivered by someone on staff (as we are currently looking for a Senior Pastor) or a special guest. The crowd is typically older in comparison to the late service.
The 11:00am service is our Contemporary Service and features Praise and Worship music, special music, and a message from the Bible delivered by by someone on staff (as we are currently looking for a Senior Pastor) or a special guest. The crowd is typically younger than the first service.
Both services utilize multimedia presentations on two large projection screens for displaying lyrics and sermon notes.
What are Life Groups?
Life Groups, as the name suggests, are integral to the life of First Baptist Church Georgetown and its' members. Life Groups are Bible studies where friends become family. Life Groups meet on Sunday mornings at 8:30am, 9:40am, and 11:00am. For more information on what types of classes are currently being offered, click here.
Is there enough parking?
Once you arrive on our campus, there are friendly parking lot greeters to help you find a spot to park. And yes, there is quite enough parking.
What about my kids?
For the very young ones, our nursery is amply equipped to take care of your little ones while you're at church.
For kids in 1st through 5th grade, All-Stars Kids' Church is the coolest way to introduce your child to the life and teachings of Jesus. They meet at 10:50am every Sunday in the new Education Building, aside from the first Sunday of each month, as that is reserved for "Family Worship Sunday," where the kids attend "Big Church" with their family. Click here for the All-Stars Kids' Church part of the website.
During the summer, no events occur on Sunday nights at FBCgT.
However, the fall brings First Baptist University (FBU: Sunday night Bible studies for adults and youth), AWANAs (for 3 yr olds-5th graders), and VIP Choir (for singers 50 yrs or older).
