District Director Elections will be held in even numbered Districts in 2014.

TASO Baseball Division  --  Election Procedures  --  District Directors

1. One Director shall be elected from each District to represent that District on the Baseball Division Board
2. District Director elections shall be held in the two months immediately preceding the start of the term of office.  Terms of office for odd-numbered districts shall begin in January of odd-numbered years.  Terms of office for even-numbered districts shall begin in January of even-numbered years.
3. Individuals wishing to run for District Director must notify the TASO Executive Director, in writing, of their intention to seek office in order to be placed on the ballot. All nominations must be received by the TASO State Office by November 1st in order to be considered valid.  Nominations may be sent by regular mail (as long as received by November 1st) or by email to the TASO Executive Director.
4. Ballots will be made available to individual members no later than December 1st. The election will be held via a secure web-based voting system with voting commencing on December 1st.
5. Directors shall be elected by a majority vote of eligible members from their respective Districts by December 30th using procedures established by the TASO Baseball Division.
a. If a candidate is not selected a runoff election will be conducted starting within two (2) days of the vote and will be concluded within five (5) days.
6. After the election is completed, all candidates will be notified of the results of the election.
7. Newly elected Directors shall take office at the conclusion of the State meeting or January 15th if a state meeting is not held. 
8. Term of Office
a. The term of office for District Director is two (2) years.
b. He/she may be elected to no more than two (2) consecutive terms in office.
c. After being out of office for two (2) years, one may be re-elected to the office of District Director.
9. Vacancy
a. If a district does not elect a Director, the Division Board shall appoint a member from a chapter in that district to serve the specified term of office.
